Used trucks from Poland for buyers in Romania
Eurotruck in Kotowa Wola (south-east Poland) sells used tractor units, trucks and trailers to Romanian hauliers and construction firms. We prepare the invoice and documents and can arrange transport.
Route and border crossings
Distance from our yard in Kotowa Wola to Bucharest: about 1300 km, roughly 17 h of driving (border waits and driver rest not included).
The usual route goes south through Barwinek / Vyšný Komárnik into Slovakia, then Košice, Miskolc and Budapest, entering Romania at Nădlac (A1) or Borș (TODO-SPRAWDZIC). All of these are internal EU crossings with no customs checks. The alternative through Ukraine is not recommended for trucks because of long queues and the current situation.
Documents, customs and VAT
- Intra-EU supply: if the buyer has an active Romanian VAT number (check it in VIES), we invoice without Polish VAT and the buyer accounts for acquisition VAT in Romania (TODO-SPRAWDZIC invoice type and margin scheme with an accountant).
- Registration: Romanian Auto Register (RAR) inspection and registration in the county; the buyer needs the Polish registration papers, COC if available and the invoice (TODO-SPRAWDZIC current RAR requirements).
- Roads: Romania charges a rovinieta road tax for vehicles on the national network and a separate distance-based toll on some sections for heavy vehicles (TODO-SPRAWDZIC).
- Transport: we can arrange a low-loader or let your driver collect the truck on transit plates; we supply the delivery note and CMR on request.
What buyers look for
Romanian buyers often look for Euro 5 and Euro 6 tractors with a manual or automated gearbox in a good service state, plus curtain-sider and refrigerated trailers for fruit and vegetable transport.
Construction firms in the Cluj and Timișoara areas ask for tippers and chassis. Tell us the axle layout and budget and we will propose matching vehicles.
